Name suggestions

My mom suggested that Steve's tumor have a name so that when it's gone, we can write it on a piece of paper and burn it.

Weeks ago, we started calling it "the Fonz" because it rhymed with "pons," the tumor's current home. That never really caught on.

I suspect my late Gramma Kathryn has a name for it that's not repeatable.

So, if you're feeling creative, perhaps you can e-mail us your suggestion or leave a comment here.

What a great idea! How about naming it after someone you wouldn't want visiting you? Thinking back to early '90s television, "Urkel" comes to mind. Or "Marvin K. Mooney," if you're into Dr. Seuss.

How about Fiona.....rhymes with Glioma.

How about Harry. It is easy to say and remember. It is the opposite of Steve, now (hairy). It also has several meanings such as:
- make a pillaging or destructive raid on a place
- full of hardship or diffuculty
- hazardous and frightening
Sounds like something I would definately want to burn!

Call it--- Mr. Kimble
From Kindergarden Cop.

The famous line

"it's not a tumor"!!!

How about Jafar - the evil dooer from Alladin; that, of course, gets defeated!!

The kids might like this name since it's relatable.

A "pariah" is defined as "a social outcast". And once it is cast out we will all be happy. So how about:

Pariah Carey

Too corny?!? Adding to what christy wrote above:

Harry Squatter

I'll show myself out....

Gollum came to mind.

I vote for Spot. Damm Spot. It's almost preordained.

If the magic of a name is enough to render the unwanted intruder powerless, I recommned “Rumpelstiltskin.” Besides, I think the kids would have a lot of fun with that one, too. For all those who may have forgotten the story, check out http://www.umich.edu/~umfandsf/other/ebooks/Grimm/044.txt.

Hang tough, Steve.

I like the Spot,Damm Spot for obvious reasons. You could go with that and nickname it "Dammit,"as in "get out of my head Dammit!" That also was my h.s nickname because my friends thought it was shocking to yell "Hey Dammit" across a classroom but I will gladly give it up to you. That also is the only swear word I ever heard Grandma Damm say out loud. I'm sure she would think it's appropriate under the circumstances.

Good luck with the Houston trip tomorrow.

Yes, the Linda Swift is clever as ever. Damm Spot is good. Perhaps Steve would appreciate just naming it Jim Tressel?

It has to be "spot." That was a stroke of genius. We'll be praying for safe travel on Friday.

I still like the Fonz. Does that mean if Steve bangs his head on the jukebox at Big Al's it will turn on?

Or Spot's good.

These are all fun names. My husband uses the very odd name Gooberheimerschnitzul when referring to some of his least favorite people.
