I wanted to do something for a school in need because I know Steve would be busting with pride over both the hard work and enthusiasm that KT and Coop are bringing to their school year but also Tyra's commitment to teaching. So I started my day by stopping off at DISD's Mount Auburn Elementary, in a predominantly working-class Hispanic neighborhood serving students in the I-30 and Grand Avenue area. I gave the school secretary an envelope containing $100 and the "Steve Acts of Kindness" card. I asked her to give it to the principal with the message to use it in some way to directly help students at the school.

I bought breakfast tacos for a few of the teachers at the school I work at, paid for the order of the person behind me and gave the person working at Sonic an extra big tip.
